The Herald

We arrived and were immediately met by a horde of the emaciated creatures Nathan encountered in his earlier interaction with The Herald. Shortly after we met The Herald himself. He greeted us with a smile. Looking at him I couldn't help but think he looks like a lawyer or used car salesmen. Of course that was before he began melting. He came out of a house to greet us. As we watched his skin began to melt and drip off of his face becoming tear drops as they fell. This went on for a few moments. He spoke as this was happening. "You've come to stop The End? You have made a major mistake. It is impossible for you to succeed." He turned his attention directly on Nathan. His face was halfway gone by this point. "You should give up this doomed attempt and go spend your last moments with your sister." He said and his face melted away completely revealing an entirely skeletal face that flickered and wavered every few seconds like a bad video distortion. Nathan made a sound like a growl and charged towards The Herald at the same moment The Emaciated attacked. Me and Portnoy quickly moved to defend Harold. We both had swords. You know it only occurred to me now that I have no clue where Portnoy was getting all these swords. Anyways we defended Harold as he shot down enemies. The swarm of Emaciated closed in around us and I couldn't see Nathan through the crowd. They went down easily but there were a lot of them and soon we were becoming overwhelmed. I decapitated one and another one grabbed my wrist pulling me into a crowd of them. I heard Portnoy crying out in alarm and Harold swearing and then everything was drowned out by laughter.

It was the most terrifying sound I had ever heard. All The Emaciated had just stopped and began laughing as one. A few seconds later they began slowly crumbling into dust revealing the cause. Nathan was kneeling over The Herald. His hand was around The Herald's neck and he was punching The Herald in the face and The Herald was laughing at him. Nathan was screaming something. We couldn't understand it but it was easy to decipher the emotion. Rage and Fear. We watched quietly as he continued wailing on him. None of us knew what to do and The Herald just kept laughing. It was Harold who finally did something. He moved forward in his strange way and tossed Nathan off. Nathan hit the ground and curled up beginning to cry as Harold aimed and shot The Herald in the face. The laughter died instantly. The Herald's body began to deteriorate and in a few minutes all that was left was a small patch of black flowers in the vague shape of a human where he had been lying.

Nathan is still recovering and none of us are willing to try talking to him.

So I guess now we just wait?

Musings

So we're traveling. It's been a while. No food or water. Yet we don't seem affected. I was affected last time. That's for sure. So what changed? Why am I suddenly no longer starving or dehydrated. I feel perfectly fine. I should be feeling weak. My mouth should be dry. I should be dying. Why aren't I? I have a theory. Not a very good one but a theory none the less. What if we're not human anymore. The Fears are gone. What if their servants have taken on their role. What if we're now essentially The Fears? Well first of all that means horrible things. I mean every servant is now a fear like being. I don't know how many servants there are out there but I'm sure that's a lot of suddenly unstoppable monsters and quite a few of them are psychopaths. Also there's those other things popping up. Like the water guy and The dream thing... Maybe it's a good thing the world ends here... Although I guess we do have to still try to stop it...

S'not far to go. Gonna stop The End then we'll deal with all these other problems... Assuming we succeed.

The Envoy

Well that went much better. Was still difficult though. And of course it chose to attack us in the middle of the god damn ocean. It's The Muffin Man this time btw. We made it to the ocean in record time and the most lucky thing happened.

God damn I love clean energy. We found a speedboat... That would be useless but... THIS SPEEDBOAT IS POWERED WITH SOLAR ENERGY! FUCK YEAH! The Herald can't stop the sun! Although now that I think about it the fact we can't see the sun kind of makes it weird that this boat works anyways but whatever not going to question it! So, we got on board. It was big enough to fit 6 people. Actually thinking about this I'm starting to think this might have been a set up... It's just too convenient...

Whatever important part is it worked... and then about 3 quarters of the way... We went across the ocean in a speedboat is that normally possible? Yeah definitely set-up... Anyways about three quarters of the way across this distortion appears in the air. Like a small dust devil ripping up reality. It was slightly in front of us and Harold who was driving turned us to avoid it. At the same moment the water where we had been exploded upwards ionizing from water to plasma almost immediately. Luckily none of it hit the boat and we tore off at top speed. I took the wheel as Harold was our only ranged fighter. He began firing on The Envoy as the water exploded around us. How funny we thought we could shoot it...

Anyways that did nothing. The bullets passed through it like it wasn't there. Which it wasn't... The Envoy, or at least this version of The Envoy, has no physical form. It's just a hole in reality... That causes ionizing explosions. Don't ask me to explain it. I don't even know if what I'm saying is true but that's what it seems O.K.?

Anyways we couldn't fight this thing. You can't fight a hole. There's nothing to hit. So instead we opted to try and get to shore before it killed us and hopefully we'd figure something out by then. So, I raced us to shore trying to desperately dodge explosions that gave no warning until they'd already exploded. I don't know if we were very lucky or The Envoy just has terrible aim. Somehow we were making it and then a wall of plasma... tized? Plasmatized? Ionized? I don't know exploded water! rose up in front of us blocking the way. I stopped the boat and Harold almost fell overboard. We were trapped. I expected death at any moment. The Envoy was swirling in what I feel was a very triumphant way when suddenly a cyclone of water sprung up beneath it covering it and hiding it from view. The water then began to solidify. Not like ice but actual solid water. A few seconds later there was what appeared to be a statue of a closed fist made of sapphire coming out of the water. The wall of plasma water died down. Without thinking I said "Thanks EAT" Not realizing that EAT doesn't exist in the oceans, as far as I know does not have powers like this and finally should have no powers at all due to being a fear and Slendy being dead. The response reminded me of these things.

"There is worse in this world than Fear."

The voice was deep and rumbling and full of barely contained rage.

I think we were all a little confused and nervous after that so we thanked whatever the hell it was and headed off as fast as possible.

If we survive The End I don't think any of us will be going over the oceans again.

In Dreams

Nathan woke up.

Still Dr. Malice here.

Anyways right Nathan woke up and said: "We need to go back" Well actually he said: "AAAAAAGH Oh god I hurt everywhere what happ- Oh right I had a dream we need to go back" but that's less important. Apparently while he was out he dreamt of some weird creature who... Well I'll just copy how he described it. "It's body is a spiraling void of flesh and darkness and it's arms stretch out on both sides. Hands out. One palm down the other palm up. Blood runs upwards and tears run downwards. It's face is a mouth and it has eyes for teeth. It's body is, well, I can't describe it better than I already did earlier. There's no words for it. It told me the secret to stopping The Amalgam... Well, it said Dust Jammers but I know it meant The Amalgam. The point is it said we need to go back to where the first Amalgam appeared on Earth to stop them. Which I'm assuming means we have to go where The Herald first showed up." So, we're doing that now.

Also this stopped being a low key event. See, the sky is now a transparent screen showing a horrifying creature that is impossible to describe and looking at it for any length of time hurts so I won't even try. The world is in a panic. The entire world is also now under the effect of The Herald and people are dying in droves. This also means all modes of transportation other than walking and bicycles no longer work. So we're walking to the ocean because we couldn't find any bikes. Once there we're either swimming or getting a man powered boat like a kayak or canoe or something to get us accross to North America. Assuming those here capable of starving or dehydrating don't do so before hand.

So long story short things are looking up.

The Emissary

Jesus fucking christ.

Hey right It's Dr. Malice.

Just son of a bitch. Muffin is out, Portnoy is injured, Harold was injured but he seems fine now. I died but I'm good now. Wasn't easy though. I'm in some random persons' body. Harold had to drag my body to find someone else I could possess.

Anyways right you don't care you want to know about The Emissary of The End and what happened.

The Emissary appeared and he didn't look anything like he did in The Empty City. He was a large creature still spiderlike except the human body was gone now. Instead he had a vaguely circular form growing out of the top of the spiderbody. Wings made of flesh ripped out of his body at odd angles along with arms which came out of the top and random areas of the monster. Fangs and eyes also appeared randomly on it's body. It's god damn I can't really describe this. Basically, it had random body parts all over it the spider part being the only part which was constant. It was heading to us at rapid speed but moving slowly. Harold opened fire as soon as it appeared in view. The bullets ripped through it's body with ease dissolving as if through acid as they came out the other end. It didn't slow at all. Somehow despite being miles away it reached us in seconds. An arm like a crab claw with tentacles swatted Harold to the side then stabbed at Portnoy. Nathan/Muffin smashed it before it hit breaking it straight off of the body with a punch and turned raining blows on it's body. One of his punches disappeared into a fanged mouth that suddenly appeared on it's body. Portnoy had a sword but he was paralyzed with fear. I took the sword and lunged slashing at one of the spider legs and it kind of fell and I stabbed up at it impaling it's body. The sword began to dissolve. It didn't spew quiet from it's wounds like it once did so that was good.

Muffin/Nathan got his hand free and began hitting at the legs breaking them with his fists until it fell to the ground. At that moment cracks appeared in the body and we thought maybe we'd won. Then it shattered. The inside of The Emissary was just a hole in space. Immediately thousands of parasite hands, (Those rotted decay causing hands) and tentacles launched out at us. I slashed at them and protected myself for a while but the sword was dissolving quickly. Nathan tried to fight but perhaps his no weapons philosophy is a bit foolish since fist fighting required him to touch the parasite hands. With every touch his skin began to pale and he began to slow. A hand grabbed him by the face and he began screaming. A bullet ripped through the hand as Harold had finally recovered. He began firing at the body again. Well the hole where it used to be. The tentacles and hands began defending it blocking the bullets behind walls of flesh. Upon realizing that it was defending itself I rushed forward and began cutting through the hands creating a path for Harold's bullets. Eventually one got through. The moment it hit the main body there was an explosion.

Moments later me and Harold awoke. His clothes and skin were burnt so were mine. Nathan looked almost dead and his body was almost completely charred and there was a sickly green marking on his face where the hand had grabbed him. He wouldn't wake up but after a short while we confirmed he was still alive and moved to check Portnoy. Portnoy looked okay and he woke up with some prodding but he was weak. He was burnt like the rest of us but otherwise seemed unharmed. His sword however was at this point pretty much just a bit of liquid and a few pieces of steel slowly melting to the ground.

The Emissary was of course gone leaving just the spiderlike body which we confirmed was harmless at this point.

I guess we beat it?

Hope so... I don't want to face that again.

Updates when Muffin/Nathan wakes up again.

Friday 20 July 2012

The Dying is Dead.

The Liar is... Er The Liar is dead.

She bled to death. What the hell do we do now?

We don't have a fear to guide us now. We don't have any clue what to do. We're all just sort of sitting around now waiting for something to happen.

Interesting note though despite the removal of the fears powers we all still have any powers we had before. Dr. Malice can still transfer bodies, Harold can still move unnaturally even though I thought that power had more to do with The wooden Girl moving him than his own power but he's still able to do it somehow and I still have my abnormal strength, speed etc... I don't know how that works. I think that essentially makes The servants the most powerful people alive now. That's kind of a scary thought.

Hold up Harold just yelled something...

He says something is coming.

oh fuck it's the emissary be back later

The End of The World as we know it Pt. 2

So the world did not end.

Although by all rights it should of. Well it probably still will end due to The Amalgam but at least The Quiet was stopped.

Right anyways here's what happened.

The sun went out leaving a little crack in the sky where it once was and out of the crack began to spread nothingness. It began to devour the sky. Slendy was waiting next to us. Looking at him I could almost hear a voice saying "Well that's not good" The Quiet finished devouring the sky and was starting to devour the ground. The Liar went to Slendy. They argued.

I don't know exactly what was said. Although my guess:

Liar: You have to stop it.

Slendy: Why? This universe is doomed anyways.

Liar: We can still save it. The Amalgam can be stopped but not if The Quiet gets us.

Slendy: So what it's just one universe besides if The Quiet devours this universe it will devour The Amalgam as well.

Liar: But this is our universe.

Slendy: look you're asking me to kill myself and weaken all of you just so the humans will have a chance to save their universe and murder all of you at a later date.

Liar: Yes.

Slendy: Why?

Liar: Because The Muffin Man is so hot.

Slendy: Damn right he is ok I'll do it.

... Yeah probably nothing like that.

Regardless somehow she talked him into it.

He walked forward his body increasing in size at a rate that surpasses definition. Exponential would work but only if you used infinity as an exponent. Soon he was filling everything. We were all suffused by him. Everything that existed was now part of The Slender Man. Then The Quiet devoured The Universe. Or more specifically it devoured the universe that had just spread itself like a protective coating over our universe. The Slender Man had been devoured our universe was safe. At least from The Quiet. However there was another side effect of Slendy's death... The Fears sort of all derive their power from him. So now all the remaining fears are er... essentially just normal humans now.

For instance the moment Slendy died The Liar passed out from the blood she had suddenly been losing since her arm had been disintegrated earlier in our fight with The Envoy... We probably should have taken care of that but she had been pretty much holding herself together and we hadn't bothered. Now she was dying quickly from blood loss. Harold apparently knows medical stuff so he's seeing to her now. Not sure how useful that would be seeing as she's lost about a months worth of severed arm blood in about a few seconds. I doubt she'll make it no matter what.

God I really really fucked up didn't I?

The End of The World as we know it. Pt.1

Hey it's The Muffin Man.

I would just like to apologize.

I fucked up.

The world is going to end and it's my fault.

I'm not sorry though. If the Amalgam hadn't shown up I'd be a hero right now. The man who stopped the fears.

It's not my fault they suddenly became necessary to our continued survival at the same time the plan was completed.

So we arrived too late. Specter... Fuck it Vadim was there.

The calling point is a symbol. It's basically etched into the earth's crust. A certain something has to happen on the symbol to activate the calling point.

For this one Slendy had to kill someone on The Symbol. That was what Vadim was for. Slendy was after him. He was going to be bait. Slendy would come and kill him and accidentally activate the symbol that was the plan. It worked perfectly.

Before we could reach Vadim, Slendy was there. His tentacles lunged forward spearing Vadim through the chest and throat and lifting him into the air. The ground began to glow as the calling point activated.

Slendy dropped the body and looked at us. The rest of the group were all glaring at me.

Then the sun went out.

Thursday 12 July 2012

Hey.

So this is Dr. Malice. We're going to be updating on this blog together. Both me and The Muffin Man that is. Make it easier for anyone who might be paying attention.

As expected the reveal of The Muffin Man or I guess Nathan's betrayal of the Fears was not met with applause by The Liar and Harold. Portnoy and I were of course not very bothered. I mean while I guess technically I'm a servant but I don't really have any love for the fears.

I guess I'm not really sure why he felt the reason to reveal this blog instead of just telling us he knew a guy. Although I guess he wanted us to know the plan because it seems that his buddy Specter is probably going to try and cause it and with the current state of affairs it's more likely that the slender man will probably not stop it and instead The Quiet will just end up devouring everything. Although, silver lining it will probably also devour The Amalgam.

Oh and I asked him why I hadn't been able to see the blog when all the internet was in my head. I mean it not being listed shouldn't of stopped me. Apparently this page has some form of special block on it that messes with Thoughtborns and essentially wipes it from their memory the moment their minds interact with it.

Portnoy asked what I think is a very good question. "Where did you learn all this stuff? This doesn't seem the kind of thing Fears would just tell you no matter what."

The response was simply. "People know things. Nothing big, but they all know bits and pieces. Ask the right questions to the right people and you can get all the pieces and put them together to get the answers to the important questions."

The Liar has been deep in contemplation since. She's not happy. I guess I wouldn't be happy either if I found out a co-worker of sorts was plotting my destruction behind my back.

Anyways on to the important information.

At current we're heading to "Carnivak" which is apparently actually a place called Sligo, Ireland. We're heading there because that's where Specter should be. If he's setting off the plan that is. Nathan says that there will be people waiting to activate the others but this is the one we need to be sure to stop. So we're on our way to stop it.
